The first time is bearable, but the mindless repetition of this tedious task is what turns away most casual players, because they need to 'farm' Endurance mode to get to the next level. I would recommend it to players who enjoy strategy, alternative games and vast amounts of time on one map. Note: This tips are directly applicable to Gemcraft 0, but the same tactics often work for the original. Techniques that do not work in Gemcraft Original are in italics. It is useful in swarm waves, so I would use it for Swarm mode. I would use any gems of this element as gem bombs.Ī supporting gem. Put in traps near attack gems (red, yellow) or mana gain (orange) gems. Do not put this in towers, unless it would be wasteful not to. For example, if you have an extra tower and mana flowing out of all pores (interesting mental picture), put this in a tower. Otherwise, save it as a gem bomb or (if you have dual gem mastery) combine it with a more useful gem. Has the potential to completely decimate when combined with a high-grade chain hit (lime) gem. NEVER PUT THIS IN A TRAP! It has a horribly weak effect of slight range and damage increase. It works pretty much anywhere you place it, especially in towers. Max out its power and/or combine it with another powerful gem, and you have an amazing attack gem. If using Gemcraft 1, this is only nice for late monsters with high armor levels. In Gemcraft 0, they are unbelievable! Put a high-grade one in a trap, and you have 35 armor-independent damage to everything. Like Green gems, somewhat useless in Gemcraft 1, but nice in Gemcraft 0. Put it in a trap, and you get plenty of mana per second. Try putting 4 or 5 near a monster entrance and summoning more monsters with your anger. You will recover all of the monsters' mana cost and then some, enabling you to further the defense, cast mana pool, or gem bomb the monsters. Nice in traps, but mediocre as a pure offense. I recommend putting a purple trap/tower by a yellow or red tower. If you are very lucky, this can be better than a slow gem this works better with shocking mastery as a skill. If you are unlucky, you have a wasted trap/tower and some mana. These are some good combinations of elements: Try putting it in a trap if you are sure you want it. Try to keep gems pure, unless you have dual mastery, in which case dual gems are a powerful (but weak-specialed) option.
